OVERVIEW

What is it?

Featuring the Night Rider and Night Runner events, The Trail Festival, held on the 19th of May 2018, is a family friendly, action packed evening full of trail running and mountain biking events with something to suit all abilities.  With free wild camping available on-site, The Trail Festival is the perfect reason to make a trip to the amazing Isle of Wight.

Getting Here

By Road: Cheverton Farm is approximately 1 mile from Shorwell on the Bowcombe Road (the road between Carisbrooke and Shorwell). As you approach the top of Cheverton Shute, you will see event signage and traffic marshals. Please follow all instructions issued by the marshals to ensure an efficient traffic flow in and out of the site.

By Bus: No.12 bus stops directly outside Cheverton Farm.

Coming from the mainland? No problem. Red Funnel operate a vehicle ferry service from Southampton.

Parking

Ample parking is provided on-site. Access to the site is via a gravel access road which is uneven in places, and the parking area is on grassland that is again uneven in places. The area is extremely well drained and so is suitable for almost any vehicle. Please follow all instructions issued by the traffic marshals.

Camping

All participants are invited to wild-camp on-site.  Please note: The camping facilities are extremely basic, there is no running water or consumer electricity available for campers.  There are two composting toilets on-site that are open 24 hours a day.

Event Entry Costs

Each event is individually priced.

Spectators

Spectators are welcome and we hope to encourage as many to attend as possible to add to the atmosphere of the event. Spectators can watch the events from any vantage point on the site.
